AML Policy
Last updated: 1 September 2026
ShinyCardboard4u sells collectible trading cards and related products online. This Anti-Money Laundering (AML) policy sets out how we reduce the risk of the shop being used to move criminal funds. We are a retailer, not a bank or financial firm.
Who we are (ShinyCardboard4u / POGO4U LIMITED)
Trading as ShinyCardboard4u. Legal entity: POGO4U LIMITED, company number 16571073.
How payments are taken
Orders are paid through Shopify checkout and its payment providers (cards and other methods Shopify offers). We do not take cash or payments outside checkout. We do not store full card numbers.
Customer due diligence checks
Most orders use the details provided at checkout. For unusual, high-value, or repeated orders, or if something looks off, we may ask for more information (for example ID or proof of address) before we dispatch. We may refuse, delay, or cancel an order if we cannot complete those checks.
Warning signs we watch for
Examples include: paying from details that do not match the delivery name; asking to ship to an unrelated third party; trying to overpay and request a refund; lots of small orders that look structured to avoid attention; or any instruction that does not match a normal card purchase.
What we do if something looks suspicious
Staff (including anyone listing or packing for the shop) must not process an order they believe is suspicious. We may hold or cancel the order and, where required, report it to the relevant authority. We will not tell a customer that a report has been made.
Sanctions compliance
We will not knowingly sell to people or places we are not allowed to deal with. If a payment or address looks like it involves a sanctioned party, we will not complete the sale.
Record keeping
We keep order, customer, and payment records through Shopify for as long as needed for this policy, tax, and the law.
